the problem is, that in adlib mode everything sounds fine and perfect EXCEPT the spacecrafts thrusters noise is very very crappy. it should be a tight fizzling noise but its a hacking noise which is really annoying over the time.
i tried several options but nothing worked.
maybe its a point to work out for the next releases?

ps.: for testing this issue just start the game, break the intro (ESC) choose option 1, press the takeoff button, press enter for setting the speed and wait until thrusters are at full power (some seconds).
