Hi,

Back in the days my old 8086 with 12 MHz used to play an awesome digital music via the PC Speaker made by Chris Hulsbeck.

Here you can listen to a direct rip I made long ago :

Somehow, Dosbox wont play the digital music at the start of badcat and Id really like to re-record it as I seem not beeing able to find the wave/mod sample inside the game files. =)

Any ideas ?

I can hear the digitized/sampled music in 0.74 and SVN with default settings. It has some high-frequency noise in it, and the speed changes with different amounts of cycles (~500 cycles sounds about right to me). The title screen has square wave music, but the credits screen after the title has sampled music. BTW, you'll probably need to use LOADFIX before running the game to prevent it from crashing at startup.

I owned the game back in 1989 on an ericsson pc xt with a 4,77mhz 8088 cpu. the speed is right at ~450 cycles (the youtube videos i found are way faster than an original ibm pc) and i remember hearing the high pitched noise on the original hardware as well (100% accurate emulation)
