Joystick: Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro

In Pacific Strike from Origin I cannot stabilize the Joystick. The cursor keeps moving on the screen. Can somebody tell me how can I configure it in DosBox? Every other aspect of the game is running OK in DOSBOX.

Thanks a lot.

Thank you for the tip.
However with the timed value set to false the joystick is not recognized.
I have tried to delete the "joya.dat", however to no avail.
I have tried all the possibilities, from auto to CH joystick, with the timed value set to true, in this case the joystick is impossible to calibrte and with timed valu set to false, the joystick is not recognized and as a cosequence also impossible to calibrate.
Any ideas?

Thanks your help

I don't know where you got joya.dat from, it's not part of DosBox...
Fine tune the cycles...though it sounds weird it isn't recognized with timed=false, what does the DosBox console say with that setting?
What's they joystick type set in dosbox.conf?

Joya.dat is a file in the Pacific strike directory, sometimes you have to delete it when the joystick becomes impossible to calibrate. The joya.dat is regenerated after the new start of the game.
Finally I got the game working using the fcs option in the dosbox stick.
The time value put to false as you suggested. But it is very important to put fcs as a stick in the options menu of the game. You reach the options menu of the game when you are flying and then push the keys "alt+O".
Now the joystick is working without problems.
Thanks your help.
