the rendition1000 is not "slow in dos", its just slow in certain video modes(probably called "mode x"), which are used by doom and probably a few other dos games. but well, its overall 2d performance is subpar after all.

Fair enough - on reading about the rendition, it looks like mode X may well be what I mean.

So - are there any pther PCI cards slow at mode X?
