Okay, so I know the answer is no for the "normal" build of DOSBox. But is there CD Support/ATAPI emulation in DOS MegaBuild 6? I have DOS 6.22 running in it, as well as WfW3.11. Love it, it's almost just like the DOS PC that I used to use. However... I want to get it to read CDs. If I can't link my actual CD Drive to it, so be it, but I'd like to at least get it to recognize a .iso file, and read it as a CD ROM... much like you can do for .ima files through the "boot" command, making it read them as floppy disks. Is this at all possible in MB6?

Megabuild 6 is ooooooooooooooooooooold. 😜 I'm pretty sure some future version of DosBox will have working ATAPI support, but for now the closest thing is the X-branch, and I don't believe the IDE emulation on that one is good enough to do ATAPI support yet.

If I'm not mistaken, you can still use SHSUCDHD in DOSBox to mount a CD image, much like Daemon Tools. However, you will not be able to play CD audio from the mounted image.

The DOSBOX-X patches that Mr. Bigmouth mentions are included in the SVN Daum build and might do the trick. More information at DOSBox-X branch .
