The Internet is filled with people saying stuff like "todays norm is to game at 1080p" etc. but I don't actually know anyone who uses a 1080p display on their PC, so why are all benchmark etc. done in 1080p? Because "troo gamers" (those who think 100 fps is "unplayably slow" and game in 1600p) think that it is "teh minimum norm" around the world? I want to replace my faulty ATI card with a new better one, yet NOWHERE I see any 1600x900 benchmarks. I don't know ANY of my friends who have a 1080p computer monitor, and all of them are 15-20yo young people.
