So I was testing some MIDIs on this card and all of a sudden the playback just hanged. All mixer settings were completely messed up. I rebooted and loaded my defaults in ProMix. Couldn't get any sound out of it at all in Windows. Well, I did a quick initializing in DOS and everything worked, so I just reinstalled the drivers and it's all back to normal again. In fact I'm pretty sure I've had the same thing a few months ago but didn't think too much about it. Is it a known bug or just general VxD driver fail?

I didn't had such issues with my EWS64es.
Maybe check your ISA timings/clock rates.

System is not overclocked. I/O recovery time is @ 1 BUSCLK (default). The crash happened with a particularly unfitting combination of played MIDI file and soundfont.
