My app won't run, error message says it can't find share.exe.

I have a dos disk with share.exe on it, though I don't know if it is compatible with doxbox.

Also, don't know what folder I should upload it too.

Any help is appreciated!
Rich

For questions about DOSBox, you should ask in the DOSBox forum. As to share, no, it does not work in DOSBox as no game needs it.

You can use fakeshare (from the Windows 3.1guide) but that is not safe and will end in dataloss if used excessively.
Or make a hd drive image and boot from that in dosbox.
Moving to dosbox forum

I never had problem with fakeshar, not even those ''data loss'' people seems to rag about thought its not impossible that it would happen.

Simply find the fakeshar.exe and run it in dosbox before running windows or booting from an image

If you boot an image you don't need fakeshar.
If you use a lot of OLE stuff in Windows programs or anything that really depends on share/vshare you WILL experience bad problems. Since fakeshar will not make it miracluosly work. It just pretends that share is a vailable. Fakeshar is fine for showing off office stuff in dosbox but really really is not safe
