Not me seems 1024x768 is the highest it goes. You could buy an try settlers 2 10th anniversary that has higher resolutions

Yeah I downloaded the 10th Anniversary edition, but it just didn't have the same feel as the old version. It seemed like it was a bit more of a kids version. I especially liked setting fire to things...

This thing really works fine - you can set any resolution you want.

Btw, I've spent 100 hours on original Settlers 2 in 2000, then I've found out about the Gold-edition, and I've spent 100 hours more for the gold-missions, then the Anniversary edition came out - I've spent... well, a lot before I completed all missions, then I've read about the Vikings addon... Yep, weeks and weeks of playing. Now I got a "rise of the culture" (released only in Germany and Russia)... I've spent hours on level 1, will play through some years later 😀

Btw, if you can't run Settlers: Rise of the Culture because of incompatible PhysX driver, you can just install the older one as well - the game will work.

All these games I've mentioned have the same vibe with building roads flag-to-flag.
