Hello!

I recently downloaded King's Quest games of old to play on my Mac - although I have used Dosbox to mount a C: as my user\name\folder, when I go to save a game in the dosbox emulated version of KQ III, I am consistently told that "C: is full" so it does not save. I am not even sure I am directing it to the appropriate path to save the game since there is no C: obviously on a MAC (unless I suppose I named my HD that). So at any rate I am not sure what to do, specifically in DosBox, to get the game to be able to save.

Any ideas? This board was referred to me by a friend and he had some great things to say!

Did you follow the 60 Seconds Guide ? If the King's Quest EXE file is in the user\name\folder that you mounted as C and not a subfolder of that folder, that might cause the problem. It is also possible that DOSBox does not have write permissions for whatever that folder is.

Sorry posting twice was by accident - browser quit - anyway its from Steam. Also the .exe file resides on the desktop and the folder I am trying to create is in the username folder - same as desktop...

Does that help?

It should just save it in the game's folder, as long as you have write permissions to that folder. Don't try to browse to another folder. Just give the save a name. BTW, how did you unpack the game? Did the installer work with WINE?

Not to jump in, but have you tried to run this game within ScummVM already?
