Hi
Some years ago, I made a computer for my brother. I bought a QDI motherboard, and it has been working last 8 or 9 years. Lately, that computer has been failing, so I'm going to build a new one. Also, I'm going to repair the computer and put it for sale.
The symptons are:
- Unexpected shutdowns.
- High CPU temperature (about 60ºC).
- Sometimes, it says a message about Award bootbios block.
I've replaced thermal grease but I think the CPU fan is working slowly, so I'm going to replace ASAP. I guess that will avoid the unexpected shutdowns, too (if the PSU is not damaged).
The "Award bootbios block" message suggest that BIOS is not good. I was going to re-write the BIOS, but QDI has disappeared and so did their website. Where can I get a BIOS for that motherboard? Can that message be triggered by another faulty condition (i.e: overheat)?
Thanks in advance.
