When i had build a NEC V20 XT system, that i liked this XT very much. For some games this system is to slow!.. The V20 XT scored about like a 7 MHZ AT computer.. I was also busy with a fast 386DX 40Mhz system This was the first system i began to collecting with..
The story began, when i registerd on vogons! I liked this forum / board very much.. It did me thinking off those times when my dad bought the first computer in 1988! I never had money to buy a system for me self.. In that time i was thinking to build the systems i never could own for my self later on when these systems gettings older. but that idea came never from the floor till now!.
I get addicted when i came here, and look for some parts to build those systems again.. My main target? Is to play games on those old systems, like in those times. I dont like to use emulators.. Because those old system give me the best feelings of those times back again!
Nowdays its very hard to come by on these old hardware..
Only if you live in the US then i could be more easier, because to most older parts are easier to find in the US then in europe!
Only downside is, its could cost a lot of money, but iam beware of that.. But iam very happy when i could find the right parts to use...
The most important hardware i already own.. But iam still looking for the basic stuff..
Next weekend the 19 of august iam going to a big flea market. So iam hopping to find some good old stuff like cases!
More later on..
