Hello,

I've been dying for older games so today I got Dosbox, followed the installation and mounting tutorials and attempted to run Eye of the Beholder. Dosbox asked me to choose graphics mode, sound, and then it detected a mouse and asked me if I wanted to use it. I type 'y' and all I see is "Z:\>" See pic link below. This happens every time I attempt to start the game.

I've tried selecting different graphics mode, and sound options. But it doesn't seem to work. I feel as though this is a user error and not a hardware issue (so I'm not bothering to find and link all my specs). I've read the readme and looked up problems akin to mine but cannot find anything.

Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong to run into this issue? I'm using dosbox 0.74 with Win7.

If you think it's a user error, why don't you tell us more about what you are doing, exactly? What folders are you mounting, and what .exe are you running? That would be much more helpful than your screenshot.

P.S. The Sega CD version of Eye of the Beholder is often regarded as considerably superior to the DOS version (and is quite trivial to get running via emulation if you can find a copy).

Seeing that you're actually returning to the z: drive; did you switch to the C: drive before starting the game, or are you starting the game like this (which is wrong):

Z:\> c:start1.exe

If so, instead, first move to the c: drive, then enter the correct directory and start the game. It's all explained here.
