Hi,
New to DosBox, I could do with some guru guidance please.
Just installed Version 0.74 on a Win 7 machine to run old system that uses serial port to access an external controller. Everything went very smoothly and the program ran just fine. Mapped Hardware COM1 to serial1 and COM2 to serial2 and both worked absolutely perfectly - connected first time with no problems.
I shut down and restated DosBox but this time only seria1 worked. Serial2 (COM2) returns: "Desired serial mode not supported (9600,5,n,1)"
COM1 is a native RS232 on the motherboard, COM2 is an FTDI based USB<>Serial adapter. I'm stuck with the FTDI device as its part of a dedicated interface cable.
Bit strange that it worked first time then died......any ideas very welcome
