Help installing windows 95 on Ubuntu

Hello, I'm new here and I am currently running DOSBOX 0.74 on linux 12.04 LTS Ubuntu on my Chromebook 303c and I am trying to install Windows 95, so atleast I have an actually OS to play around with, instead of Chrome OS, (I didn't buy the Chromebook, its school issued laptop) now after reading many, many guides, I went to dos.conf, configure C drive and all that stuff. I had used the guide to install windows 95 which happened to be on this forum. then in Dosbox, I type in boot 622c.img on the C: drive, and this message popped up, I have uploaded an image of what it looked like, but I'll also type it out.

There is no particular reason this should work differently on Ubuntu than it should anywhere else.

Regardless, if you want to run Windows 95, you should just get VMware Player or VirtualBox.

Well, I'll need some help installing that, seeing I a bit new to the whole Linux OS

Besides, like I said I have Ubuntu on a Chromebook. CHROMEBOOK, one of the worst computers ever conceived, in my opinion, it only has like 16 GB of memory (Its Flash Memory) and being a Chromebook it has no processing power, or anything. I suppose if I use Chrome Remote Browser and Run Windows 95 on DOSBOX on my old XP in retrospect, I sure a Windows 95 or 98, could probably be faster than my XP (Its like 10 years old and my dad messed it up by trying to install an HD video card which wasn't compatible, and plus there is no way to upgrade ANYTHING because its so old) but the only reason why I wanted to run 95 on DOSBOX because at least I running an actually OS, don't get me wrong I'd choose Linux in a heartbeat at this point, but if I use remote desktop then I'd be using XP which is fine....as long as you turn on the other computer!

You download the installer from VMware, and you run it..?

Windows 95 is not going to run very quickly in DOSBox, then. (It probably won't run very quickly in VMware, either.) Also, I assume you mean storage space and not "memory".

I'm confused as to what exactly you would want to do with a twenety-year-old OS that you can't already do in Chrome OS.

People should free themselves of the misconception of running Windows 9x suitably under Dosbox. Though it is possible to install and run it, it's NOT worth it.

Use the free VMWare Player. It's designed to run things like this.

Edit: Depending on the processor installed, a Chromebook may not be a suitable machine to run a virtual machine anyway.
