Ok. I recently installed The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall on my Windows 2k system. After following the instructions provided at the website I was able to get the game to run. However, the only way to get it to run without errors saying that I am not using the CD (and I performed all the stuff required to not need the CD) is by making a shortcut with the following as tje CMD line

C:\dagger\FALL.EXE z.cfg

Well, anyway. I then got confused, prepared to go insane, cursed out my computer, and tried VDMSound's GUI. However, now I run into the problem of it looking for the CD. I typed in all the required stuff, and set the argument to be

z.cfg

However, it still does not work. I am sort of a n00b to all this, so I attatched a .zip containing both shortcuts. If anyone could tell me what I am doing wrong, I would really appreciate this.

You can just create batch file, for example "dag.bat" saying :
C:\dagger\FALL.EXE z.cfg

and then run this file with VDMS

Gundato, you say that the command line for the game should be:

C:\dagger\DAGGER.EXE z.cfg

However, the VDMSound shortcut you sent in your zip file has "-z.cfg" in the Arguments field (see image), resulting in a command line like:

C:\dagger\DAGGER.EXE -z.cfg

Which one is correct? Aren't you adding an extra "-" where it's not needed?
