I decided to create another thread although this thread is related to the earlier thread concerning a dos games launcher:

Game launcher/commander like utility for DOS 6.22?

The launcher is great 😀 I use Cutemouse 2.0 branch (works with softmpu) and I have a strange problem that's somehow not "consistent"... When I use XX with mouse, the cursor moves ok without problems, but it seems that the mouse button(s) sometimes do not work?! Sometimes it seems the buttons only work if I move the cursor at the same time?!

Am I imagining this or does this ring any bells?

I'm afraid that your issue doesn't ring a bell for me.. What version of Access are you using? Maybe try other versions to see if the behavior changes. Also try using a different (version) mouse driver; when I was using the menu myself, I usually used a Logitech mouse driver and never experienced any related problems.

I've tried with XX 4.60 and 5.x beta. The result is the same, so I guess it's the mouse driver to blame then 😀 I'll test with another driver and report here.

I think I've also seen this problem but I can't remember which game it affected.

You could log a bug here http://sourceforge.net/p/cutemouse/bugs/ and they might fix it 😀

I've only tested the MS Mouse driver, Cutemouse 2.1 and Cutemouse 2.0.

They all worked, but Cutemouse 2.0 was the only one that didn't cause the music to slow down when moving the mouse.

Ok,l thanks for the info. I'll test with Logitech driver 😀 I'll report in the weekend. Btw, what is the reason for the slowdown? Irqs? Is that an universal problem, or computer specific?
