DOS is not OS/2 warp.

It's very similar to Windows executables (which also have the .exe extension) that tell you they must be run under Windows.

I found some info about the Family Fun Pack that suggests it includes a DOS game: Rapid Assault. That one might work in DOSBox.

interesting, Rapid Assault works at first but it needs the CD to play despite the .exe being on my harddrive. Don't really care about that game right now tho; the other ones on the Fun Pack are what i'm interested in.

I'm looking for the add-on of DOSbox that emulates any OS/2 games. If no such add-on exists, then does anyone know of another emulator for OS/2 apps?

1. if you don't have the CD the other games might give you problems, too, eventually.
2. Dosbox doesn't support Os/2 and AFAIK there is no emulator for that. You should be able to install OS/2 in a VM though, VM Ware or Virtualbox or others... You will need OS/2 for that, though

I do have the CD. I have the Family Fun Pack CD, and also the OS/2 Warp CD.

Been trying to install a VM on Virtual PC 2007, which says it supports it, but idk how to use VPC that well. IDK how to install OS/2 on a VM.

Theoretically, u shud be able to just download the VM files, put them in the right spot, and then it will already be installed---just have to select the VM in Virtual PC and then run it. But google is failing me on this. Can't find any install guides on Youtube either 🙁

Anyone got a OS/2 version 3 or 4 installed with Virtual PC 2007? If so, if you could upload the VM files, that would be perfect. But if u find a OS/2 install guide for it, leme know too.

"How to install os/2 warp on virtual pc" gives me plenty of results...

You might be able to run the game under eComStation, the successor of OS/2. There's a demo CD which you can use to boot your computer directly, or use with a virtual machine, without having to deal with a messy installation process.

Really? So if I create an MS-VPC 2004 VM with FreeDOS that VM is copyrighted and can't be freely re-distributed even though MS VPC 2004 itself is free software?

Obviously he was referring to the VM files containing OS/2.

The VHD specification is publicly available msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/window ... s.85).aspx

Although I'm unsure if their is a difference for the VHD spec in VPC 2004 and when the VHD spec was published. Anyways I doubt MS would be knocking down any doors if there were.

I never wrote that. Of course I meant a VM with OS/2 on it, after all that was the context. How you arrive at a freedos VM is a mistery to me.
