Ok, before everyone yells at me,

I read the guide and DosBox manual that talks about how to set the Keyboard code and layout. I changed the setting under the {dos} section in config file but it still types ] instead of \.

I'm running windows 7 and the Dosbox that comes with GOG games displays them just fine.

The Zork Anthology. I tried running the version of Dosbox that comes with this Anthology but all that did was fill up my memory with multiple Dosbox instancess and force a reboot.

I am trying to get the Lost treasures of Infocom disks to run.

BTW, these are CD-Rom versions that I bought back in the day.

I was able to sneak around the keyboard problem with D-Fend Reloaded and was able to launch Enchanter.

However, I would still like to resolve this problem. Ultimately, I would like to write bat files and config files that execute these games the way GOG does. My sister, who loves these games. has zero patience with configuration files and zero DOS experience. I would like to make it a turnkey experience for her.

I'll boot into safe mode and see if the problem is there. This could be some funky Win 7 problem.

FIXED!!!

Booted into safe mode. Keyboard worked properly in Dosbox.
Booted into windows 7 and checked in Device manager. It contain multiple keyboards and IR receiver for Microsoft Ehome.
Removed them and Dosbox worked in Windows proper.
Reboot and they re detected (even tho' the hardware was removed long ago).
Disabled IR in Device manager under Human Interface devices. This removed the extra keyboards and fixed the problem.
