Hi there ...
I've been using VDMSound for a quite long time, but now its not working at all anymore ... with any program, with any game, with anything at all ... the machine with this trouble is a Windows 2000, p4 2.0, 512 ram, SBLive, TNT2 ... VDMSound used to work in this box in the past, but not anymore ...
The driver is loading but any program/game is able to detect the soundblaster ... Uninstalled and reinstalled it a thousant times with no success ... Using all defaults in VDMS.INI ...
I'm using VMDSound in other 2 pcs ... one p2 450 and my celeron laptop, both running Windows XP ... With these 2 machines "blaster.exe" (or "sbdetect.exe") detects the soundblaster chip fine ... BUT, in this w2k box i get the following ...
--------------------------------------------------
C:\sb>dosdrv
VDMSound DOS loader, version 2.01 (Aug 04 2001)

Loading 'VDDLoader.dll'...
Successfully loaded & initialized (hVDD = 0x01).
C:\sb>blaster
type sbdetect -h for help
Sorry, no Sound Blaster compatible sound chip found.
If you have a sound card in your system it is either not Sound Blaster
compatible or it requires a driver. Please contact the manufacturer
of the sound card or sound chip.

Any hints/thoughts/ideas/help ?!? I really like to use VDMSound in this box without having to resintall the whole OS 😉
Thanx in advance 😀
