I have all pieces in hand to begin my 5x86 160 build, finally. I settled on an AT-class desktop case that's clean and has a 200W PSU. I have begun dusting and cleaning components and opened the PSU to have a look around and blast with air.

I see some leakage to the caps, but they are not bulged. I am wondering if I'm ok to run on this PSU for a while, or if this is likely to kill the board I put in it (soon)? What happens if PSU fails due to caps - _does_ the board likely die?

Check a photo and any comments appreciated. It'd be nice to use this system this weekend, I must say...

that's not a leak , the brown substance on the pcb is actually glue... 🤣

^ As Keropi said. They use the glue to prevent components from moving at the solder bath, or during transportation of the finished product. You can see the glueing at 2:33 in this video:

PSU manufacturing

That glue can be a PITA to remove and is tipically a potent harsh-swearing-generator when you tinker inside the PSU 😁 .
