This is the 486 motherboard that came in my Pionex-branded AT-class case. I replaced the board with an ASUS PVI-486SP3. This board contained a standard Intel 486-66.

Anyone know who makes it or anything special about it? I'm just curious. I have no plans to use it.

Thanks.

It is a Biostar MB1433/50 aea-u (looks like it anyway -- model number is between the ISA slots). I have a similar board; that Dallas clone RTC (next to the bios prom) will probably have to be replaced 😀

Thanks! Perhaps I should sell it, as I have no intention of using it.

Look between the ISA slots, its already written on the PCB.. How can you miss that.

What special about it: Its was the first generation 486 motherboard with VLB. That the only thing is special.

I have also an Biostar kind board like yours.. Only mine is MB-1420/25/33PB/PV it doesnt have the VLB slots.
I scraped mine because the keyboard didnt work anymore because of an ACID battery leak.. It killed those trace near the battery..
For my it isnt an fine board to use if you want an 486 board. It only supports 5volt processors, and till DX2 66 mhz..
Now iam not throwing it any, but take the electronic parts off.. And use those to make other stuff with.

But i still kept the bios rom backuped, maybe handy for in the future..

~ At least it can do black and white~
