I am finally ready, in this 486 build, to try and get the i486 66 replaced by the AMD 5x86 running @ 160.

When I boot, the system reports:

Award Modular BIOS v4.50PG
#401A0-0305

Am I good? To run 5x86 at 160 you set to 2x clock right? Isn't that the trick? Thanks.

I think you better try it out. Depends on the bios version you have. Iam not sure, but iam guessing the the ABIT AH4-T motherboard uses the same bios..
I still waiting on an ABIT AH4-T motherboard which arrives in couple of days here. Then actually can see if its the same bios version.

Most ISA/VLB do not support it.. On PCI boards the chance it defently higher.. Most ISA/VLB board will do till DX4 120 Mhz it seems.. Only high-end boards will support AMD 5X86 cpu.

~ At least it can do black and white~

#401A0-0306 does support the AMD 5x86, so chances are pretty good.
And yes, the 2x multiplier is remapped to 4x on this CPU.
