Not coincidentally, Dungeon Keeper 2 is on sale. That's how they operate. They get you hooked by giving away the original free in the hopes that you'll buy the sequel once you've seen what it's like.

I'm not sure I understand how marketing works on GOG. In their Destination: Dungeons & Dragons sale once I removed the 5 games I already owned the total had only dropped $0.99 from $21.10 to $20.11.

While the original Dungeon Keeper was free, the price of the Dungeon Keeper 2 was $1.99. Now back to the normal price ($5.99).

The idea is that the bundle as a whole can be purchased at a reduced price. As soon as you remove a single game, you pay a higher price for the rest.
The good news is that if you've already purchased some of the games from the bundle on GOG.com, you can "complete" the bundle and still pay the discounted price, minus the discounted cost of the games you've already purchased. It's mighty decent of them; Steam certainly won't do that for you.
Anyway, a similar bundle of the D&D games regularly goes on sale on Gamersgate and GameStop/Impulse, and it's usually significantly cheaper (and DRM-free, of course).
