Since having to upgrade to the dreaded Windows 8.1, I discovered that the mouse would become jerky and uncooperative in DOSBox SVNs. When I compiled my SVNs, I used the SDL.DLL created by Virtual C++ 2008. My solution was to use the SDL.DLL from vanilla DOSBox 0.74, problem fixed.

Yep, I am aware of that. The wasteland "remake" suffers from the same problem and the SDL.dll fix works there as well.

When I compiled according to the instructions, I used the 1.2.15 SDL library because I believed that newer=better. However, comparing the file sizes, the 1.2.13 that comes with vanilla 0.74 is larger, and presumably has a greater number of functions or more compatible functionality built-in. I hope Steam has updated their distribution.

File size is not an indication of more functions 😉

Qbix is it due to your patch for SDL you used to use? Ddraw/windib order or something like that...

I don't know what fixes/causes it. I didn't investigate it yet.
