Hi folks, I won't lie.. i'm not good with computers.
We have a point of sale system that runs on a dos platform. (8 bit) We need to get the program put onto a lap top that is running win 7. I have copied the program and our data files needed from a floppy drive to a disk.
I'm able to load them onto the computer using dos based commands but of course it will not run it.
Any help here would be extremely appreciated.

Alternatively, 60 seconds guide to getting your game to run in DOSBox . But you will indeed probably be better off with a virtual machine such as Virtual PC or VMware, or possibly the XP Mode available in Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate.

It looks like he is trying to use this for a business, which is especially why he should avoid the use of DOSBox. There could be liability aspects.
