Problem with DOSBox :(

I have a slight problem with Dosbox 0.61, and it's an odd problem. It likes to crash. However, if I use the CVS build, which isn't as refined, it doesn't crash. Seems like 0.61 likes to use OpenGL, which my video card doesn't support well... it only supports up to OpenGl 1.01, which is a really old one (under XP that is)
Is there a way to use the refined version, which would actually be supported, without resorting to buying new hardware (I know I need new hardware, just can't afford it right now)

Ok. I tell you a big secret 😀 . The release version is basically just CVS version taken at some date. The main difference is that the official versions are taken as some standards - for bug reporting etc. There is a bit more testing before release, but basically it is still CVS version taken at the moment specified by developers.

Ok, so I say it even more clearly: if CVS works better for you, there is no reason why to use 0.61. I wonder why you need to use *older* version, when you have newer one available and it works well for you ....

But if you still have some special reason for using 0.61 instead of CVS: try different drivers for your video card or buy a new one.
