Could anybody recommend PCMCIA Network card for my 2 old Compaq LTE 5280.
I can't find any information if thjs notebook has only Type 1 (16bits) or is able work with Type 2 (16bit) cards.

All 16-bit PC Cards work in LTE 5000 series machines. Just avoid 32-bit Cardbus cards and you'll be fine.

If the slots accept a Type 3 card, get a Xircom RealPort
R2E-100BTX - RealPort2 Ethernet 10/100 (*) = RE-100BTX
RE-100BTX - RealPort Ethernet 10/100
REM56G-100BTX - RealPort Ethernet 10/100+Modem 56
Just make sure you are getting the PCMCIA version. The CardBus versions have a 'B' inside their name: R2BE-100BTX, RBE-100BTX etc.
I think CardBUS is 32bit 3.3V interface bus. and my old LTE 5280 is only 2x Type2 16bit=PC Card only.
I have few cards type2 cardbus but was not detected.
This forum is for PC emulation, not the actual hardware. Ask in Marvin. Perhaps a mod can move this.
