The weird thing is it's not a removable chip, so it would have had to have been soldered on in place of the old one. If that's the case it was done exceptionally well, because it looks like it came like that from the factory.

The later Sound Blaster 1.5 cards came with the 2.00 DSP. Yours, being soldered, is obviously a later card.

And no, DSP v2.00 does not an SB2.0 make. While the v2.00 DSP added auto-initialize DMA capabilities to the SB1.5 (a good thing), the Sound Blaster 2.0 shipped with DSP version 2.01, which additionally features higher playback and input rates (via the high-speed modes).

Anyone have a picture of a real Soundblaster 1.0? All I've seen (and own) are CT-1320C 1.5 cards.

I'd be happy with just one of them.

Not trying to be the Fox in the Aesop's Sour Grapes story, I've passed the stage when I used to drool over all the collections. Right, now I'm selling off all the stuff and keeping my room lean and clean, down to the only systems I'm using. I still have an extra CT2760 box and contents, though. And I'm still keeping my CT1320C box with contents.

Actually I find this 3do "collection" quite scary!

I actually think that one guy's 3D0 collection is rather excessive. It's almost like he's purposefully trying to drive up the prices of some already-rare items. 😜 It was pretty neat seeing those functional M2 consoles though, I was seriously convinced that none of the ones ever produced were actually functional, but he had one hooked up and even running some games.

The 3DO Blaster was a kit that included a 3DO on an ISA card, a controller, and a CD-ROM drive.

That 3DO collector obviously has an obsessive-compulsive disorder.(Obsessive Compulsive disorder takes many forms). Many don't realise it. Multiple, multiple copies of both the same types of hardware and software. (And also notice how he takes the photographs placing the items eccentrically against the corners.) Even those who say that that was an "accomplishment" or was "amazing" (as seen on that forum) won't do such hoarding themselves.
