Been trying to get Earthsiege to work for an extended amount of time, but every hour and a half or so, it freezes. How can I fix this issue, I know my computer isn't crap because it can run some decent games, even though I haven't upgraded it since I got it way back in 2010.

I saw this post and flashed back to when I worked at Sierra and supported this game when it was new!! Loved this old mech game.... but I don't remember there being an issue quite like this, so I don't think it's a game bug. Is there a windows process that kicks off every hour or so (like a virus checker?!). You could play the game a while with no sound, as the sound setup was usually the thing that killed the game on most computers.
