The AWE64 Gold comes with 4MB onboard anyway and nice RCA outputs as well. I can definitely recommend it.

WinXP : PIII 1.4GHz, 512MB RAM, 73GB SCSI HDD, Matrox Parhelia, SB Audigy 2.
Win98se : K6-3+ 500MHz, 256MB RAM, 80GB HDD, Matrox Millennium G400 MAX, Voodoo 2, SW1000XG.
DOS6.22 : Intel DX4, 64MB RAM, 1.6GB HDD, Diamond Stealth64 DRAM, GUS 1MB, SB16.

Cool, I don't know what to use the RCA for though, but I have a TV that supports RCA input as well as composite video. Might get a capture card later once I build a gaming rig for myself.

As for a 2D card, also found a really cheap ATI Rage 128 Ultra 16MB for 4,75 euros (which I can also probably use if my Voodoo2 breaks)
My build is getting real close, but I might think to upgrade from that old Pentium 100MHz (or I won't be able to play much more than Quake)

Win8.1: Core i5-4200H, GeForce 840M 2GB, 8GB RAM, 750GB HDD
Win7: Athlon II X2 220, GeForce GT 610 1GB, 3GB RAM, 500GB HDD
WinXP: Pentium 4 HT 3GHz, GeForce2 GTS 32MB, 1.5GB RAM, 20+80GB HDDs

You can always use a simple RCA to mini-jack adapter to plug it into regular "computer speakers".

Ct3670 is basically an Awe64, with 2 simm slots its the last version of the awe32 I think and all the large chips have been consolidated on it.
This is one I have with 2 16mb simms in it.

Its a good choice, if you need the spdif you can solder 2 wires onto the SPDIF pad.

I also have a CT2760 with a real opl chip on it, but that card produces a Wind tunnel like sound with clicks and pops when Midi or Opl is used on it.
Ironically plays back digital audio like MP3's just clear and fine, the wind tunnel clicking sound is even there over the SPDIF playback. Which is why I also have one of these Ct3670's too.
Which has nice and clear output, over midi, and it's own cqm opl-3 fakery.

I just bought the AWE64 Gold. Should arrive the day after tomorrow. I have a RCA to mini-jack cable lying right next to me (thanks Tritton AX180 headphones).
Besides, I am having trouble to find a 2D PCI graphics card (my motherboard only supports ISA and PCI). If you live in the Netherlands and have one you want to get rid of, I will thankfully take it off your hands.
