Did you try software to detect the card's existing vesa modes? (http://www.dosdriver.de/graph.php)

Also, there is Scitech's driver.

The card uses VESA 1.2, so any games requiring VESA 2.0 and you're out of luck I believe.

I could not find a VESA 1.2 to 2.0 driver for this card (S3 have drivers for newer cards, but not this one).

My Mirage V7 has no bios vesa support at all.
And univbe does not detect it, manual mode seems no selection.
I have no original software from V7 about any vesa support.
Will check the sites later this day and test this evening if one works, but i doubt.

Does anyone has a bios that i can burn to this card eprom to support newer vga bios and vesa support?
this is the only S3 805-p card i have so i cannot exchange, or will some pci s3 bios work on VLB?

Univesa Works vesa 1.0, afterwards i could run univbe 6.7 for vesa 2.0
The card is not too bad.

I have a S3 928 with vram only 1mb.
Should it be possible to get some extra dip vram somewhere? to get to a whopping 2MB
