Probably can't see drives above 8gb. My Packard Bell Pentium-120 is like that.
I just use a Dual-CF-IDE card reader, and 2 8gb industrial Transcend CF cards in it for a hard drive replacement.

Time will come... Time will come.
Until then, my 1 gig drive will be "punished" by Duke3d and Doom. Hehe.

As promised, I will post some pictures I took during the restauration process.
The computer had some serious issue, regarding insidential grounding between the motherboard and the case.
All power ran straight through the mobo and down into the case.

Image01.jpg
First up, the mobo, after I dismanteled the entire computer.

Image02.jpg
What is this board? Do someone know, as I need the manual.

Image03.jpg
Another closeup...

Soundblaster Vibra 16S, with OPL-Chip.

Image06.jpg
Not a screw mounting, yet i insulated, so it will not blow up.
And because of the extra screw, would give some extra stability.
If not used, the case would not support more than one screw.
The rest need to be mounted with those nylon spacers. (old technology)

Image07.jpg
Original screw mounting, insulated the same way as the other screw.

Image10.jpg
I tried to use these drives, combined at first. Master slave settings on one controller.
Did not go well, because the motherboard would freeze during intialization of the 16 gig drive during boot.

Image12.jpg
All drives mounted, using new screws.

Image09.jpg
The finished mounting of drives, as seen from the outside.

Image13.jpg
Time to mount the motherboard, wich is mounted on a removeable backplate.

Image15.jpg
The board, mounted/installed in the case.

Image16.jpg
I installed the SB-Vibra card, and a ATI-Rage-Pci card.

Image17.jpg
Mounted cables, and other stuff. Just to finish the installation.

Image19.jpg
The finished build, seen from the front.

Image18.jpg
Seen from the back....

Yes, it does.... I was actually surprised of this feature, when I saw it back then. 😁

My Topgun\Ali rebrand board has the same bios. Only bios outside of laptop I ever seen that has PS/2 and serial mouse support.

Now I know what to do with this machine. Just need some advice on a mouse.
See....
Serial mouse's are allmost nowere to be found anymore. Ps/2 would do fine.
I can get a number of those, with a ball. Non of those are optical.
In my parts-box I have this Ps/2 to serial converter for early Ps/2 mouse's.
The question is, what to look for. As I am told that not all Ps/2 supports this.

For the computer, I will be installing a SB16 Value Edition card.
When a mouse located, I will be installing Os/2 Warp 3.

Back in 1994 to 1997, my only computer was an 80486-DX2-66
It was bought as an AMD 80 mhz version. They installed an Intel 66 mhz version.
It had 8 megabyte of memmory, upgraded to 16 megabyte.
Cirrus Logic 5428 VL-Bus GFX.
SIDE jr. Pro VL-Bus controller card.
It had 800 megabyte of harddrive.
Sb16 Value Edition.
CD-Rom drive and a 128/256 megabyte QIC-80 tape streamer.

That computer is looooong gone. And I would like to revive me a machine like that.
Now, I have that machine, just slightly more powerfull by modern standards.
This machine, even got a case that look's just like the one I had then.
As I used Dos and Os/2 in dual boot then, this is going to have the same setup.

By the way.
I only have the manuals for the motherboard, gfx card and controller left, from that 486 machine.
