Hi i have:

riva128 8mb agp
tnt 16mb pci
tnt2 m64 32mb pci
tnt2 m64 32mb agp
tnt2 32mb agp
gf256 32mb sdr agp
gf256 32mb ddr agp
gf2 gts 32mb agp
gf2 gts 64mb agp
gf4 mx440 64mb agp
gf4 4200 128mb agp
gf4 4400 128mb agp
radeon 7000 32mb pci

g400 16mb agp
g400 32mb dualhead agp
savage 4 32mb sdr pci
Savage 2000 32mb sdr agp

What would be good cards in favour of 486-133, p1-133 to 233, ss7-500

Thanks for thinking with me.
Some cards need to go, have to cut my collection somewhere.

I would keep - even if not used - these cards since they are nice/unique:
rendition 2100 4mb pci
Voodoo3 3000 16mb pci
voodoo3 3000 16mb agp
Savage 2000 32mb sdr agp

For the p1 setup I can recommend the 128ZX/8MB vga, I use one and I am extremely happy with it, it's an excellent DOS card.
For the ss7/500 setup I would use a gf4 card, the one that has the best output quality.
Not sure on the 486/133 setup, the PCI riva128 is a good candidate IMHO

Have good experiences with Nviida card in SS7 machines. Matrox also work fine and have a very good image quality. The savage could also be interesting.

With the older cards I would try them out, run 3dbench and check the image quality.

It is hard to choose, i do not like to lose one of all cards.
Most likely the GF256's and GF2-32mb and TNT2 will go.
But then again, to have a good collection i should keep them.
Maybe i have to move out a pc case instead to make room for them and bench them some day.
Is the riva128 agp worth keeping? a tnt is much better right?

Would a ss7-500 with a gf2 gts 64mb be much slower in vga compared then with a GF4 ti4200 inside for example?
The mx440 would be on par with the gf2 right? i have 4 ss7 boards and like to keep some that have same amount of speed.
btw that GF2 GTS 64MB has 4ns sgram.

TNT is "Riva 2" - it adds multi-texturing, 32-bit color, etc. It's a better chip/card overall than the Riva 128. I'd keep TNT/TNT2 over Riva128.

Of the others, the 4 Ti 4400 is probably on the "somewhat rare" side because they weren't terribly popular, so from a collection perspective I'd hold onto it if it works. It's probably massive overkill for the SS7 though. I agree with Mau1wurf1977 that the Savage cards could be interesting. You can pretty safely discard the TNT M64s (especially if you have a "full" TNT2), GF4 MX, and Radeon 7000s - they're all very common, should be easily replaced in the future, and easily out-performed by other cards on your list. The 3dfx and Matrox cards would be worth keeping if you have a use or interest in them; they'd also probably be easy to sell if you don't.

The Ti4400 is msi vivo version, i still have the original box and all accesoire's.
Back then i did not have money to buy a ti4600 it was too overpriced compared to 4400.
And i was going to use it in my PII-400 anyways, so it was still overpowered by the GF4.
I moved the original heatsink of the ti4400 over to the gf256 ddr since it runs hot and needed to oc it a bit more.
The Ti4400 has no hs atm, but it works if i move a proper hs on.
Should i restore the ti4400 to original sink again or place a zalman on it?

Zalman VF700 all the way - they're quiet and look nice. 😀

If you dump those RIVA 128 cards, you could sell them to me.. I would be very happy with those..
