as i said last time, i got some chance of putting together a 486. it may take some time to get everything in place, but before that i would like know if these things would run, given os being win95osr2:

3dmark99
final reality
turok
quake3
half life/counter strike
unreal
everest
cpuz
firefox
opera
office2000
ffdshow

and i am talking amd5x86 which is a real 486 core, not the cyrix5x86 or pod.

I'm not familiar with everything on this list, but with the exception of Office 2000 and the web browsers, I don't think you are going to have much luck. I think the games are your list here were all in the Pentium II/Pentium III era if I recall correctly, and would have needed a 3d accelerator to run properly (like Voodoo 2 or Voodoo 3).
You could probably get the original Quake to run on a 486dx4 100 or 133 but I don't think you'd ever get running on anything less with playable framerates, and your framerates would probably be around 16-20fps at best.

depends on whether you like slideshows.

in all seriousness, no , none of those would run on a 486 of any kind. Here is a video of Unreal running on a similar system

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQDiQH6gfM0

those kind of games really need at least a higher end PII to really be smooth (and thats not taking the graphics card/accelerator into account).

that system is much better suited for a game like Doom , Warcraft II , Command & Conquer (original DOS version) or even Duke3D at lower resolutions.

3dmark99

it's the only version of 3d mark that "runs" on a 486

everest

Never tried it but sandra SI works

cpuz

It will start (maybe not on 95 though) but it will not display anything meaningful because of no
CPUID instruction

firefox

The newest version to work on 95 is FF 2 and its slow. On Win2k I got FF 3.5 to run
but it was painful. Try K-meleon - its faster. Or Opera works well on old machines

opera

Opera works well. I am posting from Opera 9.6 right now on my 486 machine
Even Opera 10.x still works with only 486 instructions but it is much slower

ffdshow

I don't know. I run the newest mplayer on Win2000 to play 144p youtube videos
