Hello,
I would like to use an old dos program of statistics (it's not a game...) called Instat. With dosbox on Win08 It does compute quite correctly what I need, but it does not save nor print the results (so it's not usable) ! It was running correctly on WinXP. Could you please help me ?
Thank you,
Zanou

There is no printer supported in DOSBox.

OK, but why Instat cannot save the files it generates ?
With Quattro Pro in dos there is no such problem through dosbox...
Cordially,
Zanou

Longshot but if you have instat in a sub folder of c:/program files you will need to move it elswhere. Beginning with Vista you no longer have the rights to save there as a normal user. Other than that I'd expect other mounting related problems (different mountings than on Xp leading to instat getting confused where to save... Etc.)

No idea what INSTAT is about, but it's not a game.
So try vDos: http://sourceforge.net/projects/vdos/.
It's based upon DOSBox, but targeted at "serious"applications, not gaming.
At least, printing problems should be solved.
