Does anybody have this CD ROM model to help me with something?
My model constantly applies the eject function when i issue OPEN function. Here is a video:

I think i am missing an certain part in this area of the drive: Image
Can anybody help me with what the cause of this might be, please??

I had a similar problem with an IDE drive.

The problem was that the switch didn't react when the tray closed, so the drive thought that there was an obstacle that prevented closing the tray and opened it again. Check that the tray presses that switch when it is closed, and that the switch is working properly.

Tested that and the switch on the other side, they both work.

Mine seems to think a disk is always in.

[EDIT]

The problem seems to originate when i press REWIND button for audio discs.
Than the drive locks up because it seems to think there is a disc inside it can not rewind. (As the LCD indicator for REWIND is still present)
With out pressing that button it loads and unloads normal discs as it should.
