Leo you have 3? Are you preparing for Armageddon or something?

Yep, I lucked out and ended up with 2 and now a 3rd one... My evil master plan is above 🤣 🤣 🤣
I just saw some of the remakes you mentioned pop up on ebay this morning. It's great to see people putting together stuff like this.
I don't normally boast of my buys, but this is by far one of my better one's recently. Really surprized nobody else bid on this but me, initial and winning bid... $4.99!
Diamond Stealth Trio 64 VLB, boxed w/ drivers & manuals and has already been upgraded to 2MB fast 50ns DRAM.
Mate thats awesome! That would have to be one of the best VLB cards you can get.
I know why I didn't bid on it, my search terms are usually "VLB video" and neither of those terms are in the item listing, I guess the best way to do it is too have all those known brand names with that particular chipset your after as a saved search.
I agree with dirkmirk, thats an insane price for a boxed video card of any sort!

Please please make some benchmarks
Received a Roland JV-1010 sound module today. Testing its GM capabilities right now 😀
^ Do tell if its any good 😀
I bought some Weller IC removal tools : http://puu.sh/amoOL/a20e525cae.jpg
The guy also sells IC insertion tools, but i dont think i need those.
JV-1010 GM capability is not great. It works but it's very unbalanced as it is not an equipment that was primarily designed to do this...

Sure... will do. Truth be told I have been meaning to perform a number of benchmarks... though recently it's been difficult to get the time outside of work, soon this will change and I will upload all my benchmarks.
Bought my first Creative Voodoo 2 (CT6670) on ebay, just waiting for it to be posted...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOODOO-3DFX-8MB-Gra … cvip=true&rt=nc
It's listed as 8mb, however the photo which shows the back of the card, RAM Chips are present - does this mean a 16mb Card?

^ yep looks like a standard 12MB voodoo2 card since all dram sockets are filled...
Sorry yeah, 12mb! Thats great. Now, just to find another 12mb....

This may not be the best GM synth but I wouldn't call it bad by any means. I think it's way better than real "GM" cards like the WaveBlaster or AWE32, but of course it doesn't impress me nearly as much as SW60XG or SCC-1.
edit: Here's one track that sounds pretty good on this synth: https://app.box.com/s/c7j7mgxym2xcqvi9wnim
Look here and there for mp3 comparisons with other modules 😉
wrote:^ my plan is to reach CM-512 level and blow up the whole block with LA synth sounds.
Just get a CM-500 😀 Easy to reach level 512 then...
^ no, that's not how CM-512 level works 🤣 , you need multiples of 32
@jwt27
thanks for the recording , how does it perform in more known doom/duke3d songs?
I got some 90s Greek joysticks, we had these back then for pc/amiga/atari gaming:
Needless to say that having arcade-quality sticks was - and still is - awesome 😁
Plus they don't really break, worst case scenario is replacing a switch and they're as good as new , I'm off to clean them 🤣
I also got this some time ago, you can still buy them new:
still arcade-like construction , more buttons but has cheaper plastic case ... and the small buttons need to work, they are tough 🤣
Had a "you only live once" moment yesterday and purchased a V4 4500 and V5 5500 off eBay Australia from a fellow VOGONS member 😊

From borgie03? 😁
I missed one of his V3 3000 PCIs which would have been nice, hard to get...
