Hello, i am using Dosbox 0.74 and got a Problem with Rings of Medusa 1. The game works like a charm but i can´t hear any music or sounds. The game itself has no soundsetup option. Any suggestions what i can do about it ?

The older 1989/1990 version does not have music, but there are a few sound effects on the pc speaker that work fine for me in DOSBox 0.74 with default settings. There is an option in the game settings to toggle sound, so ensure you have it enabled: press F1 until you get to the options menu and then press F2 to toggle sound. Also bear in mind that the sound effects are rather sparse in the game, but to check if they are working you can move to a town and click on the attack button instead of clicking "OK" to enter the town.
The 1994 enhanced remake has FM music and SB sound effects which seem to work without difficulty in DOSBox 0.74.
Hmm..ok now i understand. Since i don´t have any pc Speaker in my computer i can´t hear any sounds 😀 The 1994 Version is "ROM Rings of Medusa Gold" right or do you mean Rings of Medusa 2 : Return of Medusa ?
No, DOSBox emulates the pc speaker, so you should be able to hear that if your system has onboard sound or a sound card. The 1994 enhanced remake is the "gold" version.
Weird. Just tried it out again and attacked a Town but no Sound. Ingame it is activated.
