sure, if this helps the site run... just not let it descend into driverguide hell 😀

Go for it dude! I don't care what it looks like, just that it continues to exist.
Life? Don't talk to me about life.
Winstone 94 (CD ISO) added under benchmarks. Also included with the disc is WinBench 4.0 and PC Bench 8.0.

The later versions of Winstone I've previously uploaded to Vogonsdrivers (except Winstone 95 which is missing). Winstone 96 you can find on Archive.org
SquallStrife, could categories be "clickable" (such as on the main page) so that clicking the name of the category opens the category?
Also, when a category is expanded, could the folder widget thing remain expanded? When I select 3dfx (for example), I'd expect the folder view to still be showing that Graphics was selected and then 3dfx after that, with the little folder icons being "open".

Sure, easy! 😀

I am actually working on exactly that as we speak, have been since I put the new menu on there, it's just tricky because of how the JavaScript works.

Suggestion: Download counter on each file
Just to see what people are interested in and see what the most popular files are.
I've got a CD full of old drivers (but I guess most of them are already preserved), but no idea about how to upload them to vogondrivers... how can I register?

You send SquallStrife a private message. 😀

I was looking through my old CDs tonight and I stumbled upon an installation CD for an old RivaTNT card I used to have installed in my first PC years ago. I don't know why I decided to save the disc but I did. I have no idea whether this is even remotely useful to anyone but since the whole CD is just 65 megs, I decided to rip it into an .ISO file and upload it here:

(I also put a scan of the CD in the attachment)
Looks good! Thanks man, I'll upload it later on. 😀

A driver cd for live! here http://speedy.sh/jaqGd/Sound-Blaster-Live-Val … -1713330760.zip and a driver for Live! here download/file.php?id=15516.
I've got another one for you. This time it's a driver CD for the SoundBlaster 5.1 Surround (USB) I use with my XP machine. It's the original, not the PRO one:
This is not retro hardware per se (although it will become one in the near future), but Creative has dropped support on this thing a while ago. And yes, you can still get the drivers for it from the offical Creative website but the newer versions of the drivers that are available there cause problems on Windows XP (clipping sounds, cut-offs, artifacts, etc.)
The CD gives you the only version of the drivers that work 100% properly on XP. Also, the CD includes the whole package, so you get the OSD, the remote support etc. Not just the driver.
I doubt that anyone who actually has the thing would use it for their retro PC at this point (aside from me, but I'm a weirdo so that doesn't count) but in a few years, maybe. Anyway, I have the CD, I wanted to make a backup of it anyway, so I figured I might as well share it here.
Here's the link:

Btw. there's a scan of the CD in the attachment for anyone interested.
This is a valuable resource for old ATI drivers. AMD doesn't offer them for download and getting them elsewhere is a pain due to all the spoof driver spyware installer sites.
Account retired. Now posting as Errius.
Live driver 3300 WDM here but I didn't check for virus's download/file.php?id=15548. These should have most Live cards supported (ct4670, ct4780, etc).
EDIT:
Here's way more drivers and I think the zips have original name on each. They're all 7zip exe's since I found it uses way less bandwidth (ess solo packages are only about 4mb, but there's five packages!).
Live! WDM Win98 drivers for live! cards (ct4670 and ct4780); even has newer version from march 2002 with troublesome sbpro emulation

Geforce FX supported Forceware Win98 drivers. Most of these allow paletted textures but newer ones (80.x and newer) don't.

ESS solo Win98 and NT WDM drivers (some are beta), and an Audiorack version. From supermicro's ftp site.

Rivatuner 1.45 (older version that doesn't work with Win95 unfortunately).

Hi guys, sorry, I'm behind on updates and uploads and such. I'm making an effort to get up to date this evening.
Thanks for your patience.

Rage 128 drivers for Win 9x from 12-2000 (one of very few drivers to support Rage 128 VR models, and it supports many others).

Wow, this is an amazingly handy resource.
I gave up using Driverguide some time back when it all went crapware orientated.
I have a Polaroid Sprint Scan SCSI driver that could be handy amongst hundreds of others I've acquired over the years.

For some reason, after all these years, I've been blocking EXE files. I guess it's just out of habit, most free web-hosting placed block EXE files for whatever reason.
But I just realised that's dumb and pointless. Files are only being uploaded by a small and trusted group, and besides, everything's automatically scanned by the webhosting company's setup anyway.
So today I'm adding EXE to the list of allowed extensions. Just thought I'd let y'all know. 😀

Whoa I didn't know that. Sorry about that (I should'vs read that). I'll start using 7z instead of executables. I don't think you should accept exe's even from small groups! You really shouldn't! TBH don't.
I've got a CD with old drivers that came with a spanish magazine (PC Mania #79), and I'd like to upload the drivers. Sadly, my 9 month old is preventing that so I've uploaded the entire CD to mega. I hope that someone can upload it to the library.
