Can anybody tell me what this card is? I am guessing its an RAM card for some 1980s computer, because the guy selling it had some custom made stuff that seems to have originated from a school or university from 1980s.

Probably is to create a ram disk drive of some sort like i have on my 486 industrial pc's

Oh I see, it does add up to 640kB of memory.
Can you confirm by the present components that this is intended for PCs (XT)?

The text on the backside leads to the conclusion that this is a hardware project of German c't magazine (http://www.heise.de/ct)
I can't find this project on their website, but here is a project which uses a similar card: http://www.heise.de/ct/artikel/HardBreaker-283750.html
This one is a hardware debugging card, though.
