I have NC for DOS and would like to have it installed. I used it all the time back in the DOS era. The problem is I have IMG files of floppy disks. I can mount the first IMG using IMGMOUNT command, but I don't know how to mount the others. I mean, NC install.exe asks "insert disk 2 to drive A:" and I don't know what to do. I would like to avoid using my real floppy. I'm not sure if it still works. 😀

What?

I found a solution. Just mount all floppies in turn and copy files to a temp directory. Then you can install from that folder and there is no need to swap disks. Maybe somebody will find this helpful. 😀

Sorry, the readme lists the imgmount option to mount more than one image and switching with ctrl-f4. Could be that this only works for floppy images in the SVN of Dosbox

Multiple floppy images are only available in the SVN version yet (not available in 0.74 (0.74-1) and older versions.

For the cases where extracting all floppy images into the same directory and install from it doesn't work (yes, rare but I've come across it more than once), this is how I usually get around it:

1. Extract the 1st floppy .img contents to a directory.
2. Mount it as a: and start installation. When next floppy is required,
3. Move away from dosbox and go to your host machine. Delete the contents of that folder and extract the next .img into it
4. Go back to dosbox, press ctrl+f4 to refresh files and voila, you have the contents of next disk as a:

But anyway guys, pretend that you never read this. I like more the new release approach 😉
