BUT, the drive is readable. It's just very annoying that the bios does that...

Mobo : Asus VL/I 486SV2G and 486SV2GX4
Bios : VL/I-486SV2GX4 Beta BIOS 0402.001 (1999)

Is it solvable ?

Well, I enabled Shadow on all Bios addresses, redid a ide autodetect, and now it does not complain anymore.

Weird.

Well, still cannot boot.

No error,. just hangs there at the rectangle screen, no error....

I feel Stupid.. FDISK /MBR fixed it.
