Looking into the stack of parts my friend lent me, I found this audio card that looks very nice.

I have no idea of where I could find the drivers nor how it compares to the current SB I have.

Any help and opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Also, could I use the wavetable from my Diamond Monster Sound ?

Reveal are funny cards. As far as I know they are all rebrands.
Does yours have a real OPL?

Real OPL is a plus and the wavetable connector is likely to work better than a Vibra 16.

CS4248 is a Windows Sound System codec. There may be addition SB Pro emulation provided by the Reveal chip. Try it out and let us know.

We talked about this thing before:
any opinion on Reveal sound card

Since the driver "k2y-pro16.ZIP" contains a file called "SNDINIT.EXE" it is likely to be an Opti 929 Chipset, similar to this one called Acer Magic S20:
Re: Opti 82C929A - DOS driver anyone please?

I was afraid this driver wouldn't work since I have the Crystal chipset and not the Opti one.
Just realized the REVEAL chip is an Opti one, except the part number ends with KT instead of A

Good,

Your last question is easy:
You can test the wavetable with any game that supports General Midi such as Doom, using port 330h (default).

You know it is General Midi when the drum sounds are realistic. OPL3 sucks at doing drums.
