Does someone here on Vogons know what this EDO Ram module is?
All I know is, that it might be 60 ns ram...

Google that number and you'll find a datasheet here: http://www.datasheetfind.com/details/12476478.html

Says it's 4Mx32 (each module, not each chip), so that's 128Mbit, which is 16MB.

Google results imply that VIS VM43217805BJSB-6 is:
Manufacturer: Vanguard International Semiconductor

Datasheets:
http://www.datasheets360.com/part/detail/vm43 … 38786?comp=6224
http://www.datasheetarchive.com/VM43217805B-datasheet.html

PN Decode from Datasheet:
VIS Product DRAM SIMM (72 pin) 4Mx32 EDO, 2K ref., 2M x 8 DRAM, B component Revision, SOJ, Tin/lead, B PC Board revision, 60 ns

[EDIT] just missed jwt27's post.

Thanks. 1000 times. And you all helped me to help myself in the future. Nice. 😜
Had an idea that it was 8+ megabyte, yet not that much. And I have two of them.
They will come to use, when my AWE32 arrive one of the next days.

AWE32 needs 30pin ram, yours won't fit.
I am sorry to spoil the excitement.

OWC (Other World Computing) still sells 16MB 30 pin SIMMs. They market them as Apple RAMs, but I used them for AWE32, AWE64 (with SIMMConn)and as system memory on 386 builds, all with success.

EDIT: Sorry, I used their 72 pin SIMMs on AWE64 SIMMConn... 😊
