I'd consider both parts to be the shroud, personally.

nice!!! 😊
What does the sound brush do?
Let you add samples? Playback and record midi's from a keyboard without a computer?
Found this little gem today and picking it up on Wednesday for my new PIII build.
Looks very well preserved 😀 and about $15.
The only V2 available online in these parts. A couple of V3's and I've also seen a V4 Evilking 4500, which I might go for.

Nice deal! Voodoo cards seem to be cheap sometimes if you get lucky (like I did with mine).
Just arrived:
compaq prolinea 4100 i486dx4/100 128k L2 (my first 486), 630MB HD, added some ram, upgraded firmware. tested, "replaced" discharged bios battery, win 3.1 works fine.
Few isa sound cards:als100, 2x vibra16s, ymf718, ymf719, opti ad1845jp, scsi lsi810 , adaptec ava1505, some tv tuner fast movie machine II.
Also maxtor 345MB fast scsi hard drive, works, tested under xw6600 xp x64: 3 bad sectors, win95 on it.
i've been never using such disk drive 😉

I felt a bit bad, even though I'm paying the asking price as the bloke said he's selling it as he needs the money 🙁
The 4500 is around $20, so I think I'll get it anyway.
3dfx cards are as rare as hens teeth down here now, online anyway.

Sound Brush is a standalone midi player and recorder.
You can record midi flow from cable and then play it (random, looped, with different tempo and so on). It use standard 3.5" diskettes to store midi.

$20 for a V4 4500 and one that is worth a lot more is a great deal 😲
On a far away planet reading your posts in the year 10,191.
Thats a nice piece then, Still learning about these Roland units!
That V4 is also a great deal for 20$, It doesn't look like the normal PCB either?

@Splinter - that 4500 is actually made by Powercolor, and it's one that actually has TV out! Very nice deal for only $20!
You can see it in the Dodge Garage's collection right here. It's towards the bottom of the page.

Hey, you're right there Sutekh.
I haven't got it yet, but hope to tomorrow or Thursday.
The seller is in the back of beyond and in quite a shady area, so I have to make sure I don't get lost, if you know what I mean.

Just saying those discs belong to the Diamond Monster 3D Voodoo 1 card, not the Voodoo2 😀
Got this in the mail today very happy 😁 .
It came with the manual and AC adapter, and more importantly works.
Picture of it running its demo.

Very nice! Paired with an MT-32, you can have most of your Roland sound bases covered.
I was surprised to read on Wikipedia that the SC-50 is a SC-55 "without the Roland MT-32 sounds, but with increased polyphony (from 24 to 28)"
Very cool. 😎
