installing windows 3.1 with dosbox

I've tried to install windows 3.1 on dosbox but get message :- " setup is unable to copy the file c:\windows\system\comm.drv.This file already exists in the destination directory snd is marked as read-only.
You must replace the read-only attributes from all the files in your windws directory in order to successfully complete windows setup
Press F3 to exit"
I am running windows 7 32 bit on a nuc 2820 and have used the original windows 3.1 instalation floppy disks and copied files to c:\program files\dosbox-0.74\install folder using a usb external floppy disk drive. I mounted c:\program files\dosbox-0.74 and changed to 'install' folder to run 'setup'. Any help please.

On Windows, I think the Program files folder is Read-only. See the Windows 3.1 installation as "Documents" and use this folder.

you are correct, and drv is a special extension so the virtual store doesn't work.

Changed folder from 'Program files' and it worked. Windows 3.1 runs perfectly in dosbox. Thanks for all your help. Much appreciated.
