I have a problem. It appears my Paradise Autoswitch EGA2 quit

It had been stored in a non-working machine but it was in a case and relatively well protected
for months. I pulled it out and put it in my 486/33 and plugged a monochrome monitor into it.
(I pulled out the VGA card) but it just made a long beeeep and displayed garbage on the screen.

So I tried it in my 486/120 which did exactly the same thing.

Anybody have any ideas?

Nevermind

Fixed by reseating the socketed EGA chip

I wonder how many problems are caused by 'chip creep' and oxidation? Reseating components sure can solve a lot of issues!

I have an Autoswitch EGA1 card with the same problem. Already tried reseating all the chips but didn't help 🙁
