This popped up on Youtube a few days ago. Seems that some of those ISA bridges do indeed work with sound cards in DOS! The machine is a i865 Pentium 4 with the ICH5 southbridge. I wonder if it works with newer chipsets. I've seen some backplane boards that had the IT8888 bridge connected to a PCI to PCIe bridge!

Here is the datasheet on that chip: http://www.datasheetarchive.com/dl/Datasheets … ASSA0007335.pdf

Your video seems to have been deleted. Did you have any luck with making the GuS work? I am having issues with my GuS PnP (Interwave chip), it will not work in my P4 board with the ITE IT8888F PCI to ISA bridge chip and am looking for any solution.
