Yup that is an amazing find. I remember when they first hyped that card. Though it makes sense that it wasn't marketed at the time, it is a fascinating bit of hardware. It would be really interesting to run some tests on how that Pinolite chip affects OpenGL performance.

Thank you. I pleasantly surprised when I first saw it.
From the information I gathered the Pinolite showed some performance increase if the CPU of the system was of a slower speed and non-MMX type. On a P200MMX the difference was small in Quake2 tests.
If I can find the right drivers I can test that for myself and share the results with you guys.

Since I saw some posts back on this thread other users were asking about the Canopus 3D Glasses for the Total3D cards here they are:

Unfortunately I don't have the retail box or any of the other accessories that came with this card.

I have a copy of this but it's easy enough to obtain.

There is also a document reference mentioned in US patent US6854003 (regarding a Hyundai processor) as “MB86242 <PinoliteTM> Product Specifications,” Fujitsu, Version 1.0, (1997) - which while the patent is easily accessible, I do not believe I have the document referenced at the moment.

According to the Fujitsu MB86291 "Scarlet" datasheet, two Pinolite processing cores with enhanced rendering cores were integrated into the MB86291, along with an enhanced Cremson core (x5 previous performance), dedicated video capture/scaler and embedded wide-bus band SDRAM.

That's a nice card to have with all the goodies.

I thought I'd share something on the same topic.

I did the sacrilege of unsealing the box to take a peak at the content but I think it was worth it as I haven't seen many of these.

Where I work, we've used Intergraph software since the 80s. It's pretty awesome to see their classic bog-standard CD label and documentation template used for something not work related.

I'm glad you like it. I collect other Intergraph cards as well but this was the only one I've found to be new and complete with all the CDs and documentation.

Thanks. I think they did a double marketing campaign for these cards first being named Reactor3D and then they changed it to Intense3D100. It'd be interesting to see if there's a Reactor3D box out there or those were just in adds.

what are the best drivers to use with a Diamond Stealth II 220? Ive got one on the way in the post (should be here next week most likely, along with an Ensoniq Soundscape card), and Im wondering if there is any advantage to using older drivers compared to the latest ones (mostly in regards to games using the Rendition API).
